LAKEWOOD, Ohio — An employee at a CVS pharmacy in Lakewood has tested postive for coronavirus.
The pharmacy, located at 11706 Clifton Blvd., was made aware of the diagnosis Thursday. Following the notification, the store was for cleaning and the employee along with any co-workers that may have been exposed were placed on a 14-day quarantine.
During the quarantine, the workers will continue to receive pay.
The store re-opened Friday morning.
"Our pharmacies are a critical resource for the communities we serve and we’ll continue to be here for customers and patients in these trying times," said Amy Thibault, a Senior Communications Manager in a statement Sunday.
The Ohio Department of Health revealed on Sunday that there are now 4,043 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. 119 people have died, while 1,104 more are hospitalized.
On Saturday, Gov. DeWine announced that, for the first time in 27 straight days, he would not be holding a press briefing Sunday.
