WESTLAKE, Ohio — "Masks are off and the party is on."

The subject line of the email announcing the Northeast Ohio "Boomer Bash" at Crocker Park clearly states the intentions of patrons attending the event, which is back after a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The first major event in the Cleveland area in over a year promises to deliver Education, Entertainment, Excitement and FUN," says a release from event organizers.

"Attendees will enjoy entertainment by Hawaiian Island Entertainment, food samples from local restaurants, over 60 vendors with a variety of products and services geared to the 50 plus age demographic and a charity raffle with a grand prize of a One Week Vacation (accommodations only)," says a release.

There is even a specialty drink for the event: The Boomer Blitz!
