RTA: 2 more employees test positive for COVID-19

To date, the authority reports 30 employees have contracted the virus.

CLEVELAND — The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority reports that two additional employees have tested positive for COVID-19.

In a press release, the RTA said one of the employees is a dispatcher at Paratransit. The person’s last day of work was July 19 after they started showing symptoms on July 20.

The second employee who tested positive for the coronavirus works in building maintenance at the Triskett District. The RTA says that person last worked on July 27, when they first reported symptoms.

The RTA says all work areas and equipment have been disinfected and those who were in contact with them were notified. To date, 30 employees have tested positive for Covid-19, and 24 of those have recovered and returned to work.
