Cuyahoga County Board of Health to host Pfizer booster clinics starting October 12

The clinics will be held at three locations on October 12, 19 and 26.

As the state of Ohio continues is fight against the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, state and health officials maintain that getting vaccinated is the best way to avoid the disease and protect yourself against adverse symptoms.

With that in mind, the Cuyahoga County Board of Health will begin offering the Pfizer booster shot to eligible residents at clinics beginning Tuesday, October 12.

The clinics will be held at the following locations on October 12, 19 and 26.

Tuesday, October 12th: Word Church, 18903 S Miles Rd, Warrensville Heights, OH 44128. 

Tuesday, October 19th: Tri-C Western Campus Recreation Center, 11000 W Pleasant Valley Rd, Parma, OH 44130.

Tuesday, October 26th: Word Church, 18903 S Miles Rd, Warrensville Heights, OH 44128.

All of the clinics will be open for operation from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

You are eligible for a Pfizer vaccine booster if you meet the following requirements:

1. You received your second dose of Pfizer at least six months prior to the date of the booster clinic. You cannot receive a Pfizer booster if you received doses of the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

2. You are at least 18 years old.

3. You meet one of the criteria below:

  • You are at least 65 years old or a resident in a long-term care setting.
  • You are 50-64 years old and have certain underlying medical conditions.
  • You are 18-49 years old and have certain underlying medical conditions.
  • You are at least 18 years old and are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of your job or institutional living setting.

Those getting the booster are asked to bring their vaccination card with them to their appointment.
