The coupon is available to anybody who has already received the COVID-19 vaccine, whether they did so at Meijer or any other location. Meijer said that it launched its incentive program "to encourage all customers to get vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and enable people to return to normal."

“We encourage everyone who is able to receive the vaccine to take this important step and get vaccinated,” Meijer President & CEO Rick Keyes said in a statement. “When the vaccine rollout began, our pharmacy teams dedicated themselves to keeping our communities safe. Their efforts have paid off, but we’re not done yet. We’re hopeful this incentive helps tip the balance.”

In addition to offering the $10 coupon, Meijer said that walk-up appointments are available for those who have still yet to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Those who receive the COVID-19 vaccine at Meijer will immediately receive a $10 coupon available to use toward any purchase in the store. Meanwhile, those who have already received the COVID-19 vaccine can receive a $10 coupon eligible toward any purchase of $50 or more by presenting their vaccination card at any Meijer location.

The coronavirus vaccine is currently available to those 12-years-old and older. To date, Meijer says it has administered more than 1.3 million doses.
