CLEVELAND -- Hoping to get healthy?

The WELL Cleveland Project is launching a seven-week wellness challenge to help Clevelanders jump on the track to holistic health.

The challenge begins April 23 and participants can use an app to track their progress and follow along with others. There will be a leader board and tasks to complete for awards on Global Wellness Day, which is June 9.

WELL Cleveland's Project focuses on a seven-step manifesto toward wellness:

  • Walk for an hour
  • Drink more water
  • Avoid plastic bottles
  • Eat healthy food
  • Do a good deed
  • Have a family dinner
  • Go to bed by 10 p.m.

A celebration is scheduled on Global Wellness Day at University Hospitals' Otis Moss Center. The event will feature free cooking demonstrations, exercise classes and awards.
