A 29-year-old man is dead after being shot several times on Akron's west side Saturday.
According to police, the victim and another man were apparently robbed near the intersection of Courtland and Seward Aves. around 2:30 p.m. There was a struggle, and one of the three suspects pulled out a handgun and fired several shots before fleeing.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity is not being released at this time. The other man he was with was unharmed.
Not much information is known about the suspects, other than that they drove away in a silver vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact Akron Police at (330) 375-2552.
