Canton police are currently searching for two suspects after a man was shot and killed on the city's southwest side this past Thursday.
Authorities say 42-year-old James Nathaniel Howard was involved in an altercation with 30-year-old Arsenio C. Smith outside a Sandwith Ave. Southwest residence when he was shot twice by Smith around 5:20 p.m. Howard was taken to Aultman Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Smith is currently wanted for murder, tampering with evidence, and receiving stolen property, while a second suspect—33-year-old Ashley N. Singleton—is accused of obstructing justice and tampering with evidence.
