The Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that left a man seriously injured Wednesday afternoon.
32-year-old Jesse Galford was traveling in a commercial semi when it traveled off the left side of the road and struck a guard rail. The semi then drove up and over the barrier wall before coming to a rest. Galford was extracted from the semi using mechanical mean and then transported to Aultman Hospital with serious injuries.
The crash occurred just after noon on Interstate 77 near the Prairie College Street Overpass.
Galford was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and alcohol is not a factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
