CLEVELAND — Firefighters rescued at least two people who were trapped during an apartment fire early Thursday morning on Cleveland’s east side at the Allen House apartments on E. 143rd Street.
A total of seven people were taken to the hospital as a result of the fire -- two of them are in critical condition. We're told that three of those who were transported are minors, but it's not clear what condition they are in.
The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m.
The Red Cross is assisting those displaced by the fire.
No additional details were immediately available.
