CLEVELAND — The Mandel Foundation has lost another member of its family.
Just a few weeks after her husband passed away, Barbara Mandel has died at the age of 98, according to Cleveland Jewish News.
Barbara served as the president of the Cleveland Section of the National Council of Jewish Women, among many other roles, according to a bio posted on Brandeis University’s Board of Trustees page.
Her death comes one month after Morton passed away Oct. 16.
His career spanned nearly eight decades and was most notable for its roots and activities in his home region of Northeast Ohio. Mandel and his brothers established the Mandel Foundation, which works in the areas of leadership development, management of nonprofits, humanities, Jewish life and urban engagement.
