CLEVELAND-- Celebrity chef Michael Symon is speaking out after a fire broke out at his popular restaurant Lolita Sunday afternoon.
Fire officials say the cause of the fire is unclear, but believe the blaze started in an oven area in the restaurant around 1:45 p.m.
In a Facebook post, Symon said none of the restaurant's employees were injured, but the restaurant did sustain "substantial damage."
"We are kind of all hands on deck right now," Symon said in a brief text message exchange with WKYC staff.
Officials say the fire eventually moved to the second floor of the building.
The chef's corporate offices are located on the second floor.
"It is a little chaotic, as you can imagine, as our corporate offices were also in that building," the restaurateur added.
Symon, who owns a handful of restaurants throughout Northeast Ohio and across the region, also co-hosts a popular nationally syndicated cooking show.
