Body found in Cuyahoga River in Cleveland identified as 26-year-old man

The cause of death is unknown at this time.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland fire crews recovered the body of a man from the Cuyahoga River on Friday.

The Cleveland Division of Fire told 3News that the Garret Morgan fire boat was used to recover a body that was found in the Cuyahoga River near Columbus and Scranton Road at around 12:15 p.m. 

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office, the body has been identified as 26-year-old Thomas Sterling Massey.

No cause of death has been released.
