Cleveland Police are investigating a homicide shooting that resulted in the death of a 21-year-old on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Cleveland Police, officers responded to Duggan Park for shots fired around 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Later, it was learned that the shooting had occurred at London and Euclid and that the victim had been taken to University Hospital by a private vehicle.

The 21-year-old male victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

At the scene, it was discovered that the victim had been in a vehicle with another male. A group of males who were seen on corner of London and Euclid began firing shots, striking the victim before the driver drove to University Hospital.

Additionally, two houses in the 17900 block of Olympia were struck by gunfire. Neither of the occupants of those homes -- a 29-year-old female and 67-year-old female -- were injured.

The matter remains under investigation.
