If you're not following Cleveland Vibes on Instagram, you may be missing out on some of the best experiences Northeast Ohio has to offer.
The account started out as a hobby for Founder Kaitie Nickel when she made Cleveland her new home. Three short years later, Cleveland Vibes is a leading force in our city's social media scene.
"I just wanted to find what the city was all about, and I was totally surprised to find out how much there was to do here, how much Cleveland had to offer, and just how inspiring and welcoming the community was here," Nickel told WKYC's Alexa Lee.
The growing scene of Instagram "influencers" here in Cleveland is helping area businesses reach locals and visitors alike.
"It’s hard to know, especially if you’re coming to a new city, and this one specifically has so many pockets, of culture and style, and I think if you didn’t know where you were going, you could drive past a great little space in Cleveland and totally miss it." Nickel said.
Nickel showed us one of her favorite new spots in town -- Ohio City Galley -- a unique restaurant incubator concept.
"Restaurants get to just come in and just give it a try and that’s just what it’s all about – just giving people opportunities to pursue what they really want, and I’m just so inspired by it, I think its awesome," Nickel said.
Next up, Cleveland Vibes has plans to expand their events program and Nickel is launching a brand new podcast. We have a feeling this is just the start of many great things to come.
