CLEVELAND -- Donald Trump can forget about gobbling up some of Michael Symon’s eats during the Republican National Convention.
“There’s not a chance I’d let him into one of my restaurants,” Symon said followed by his famous laughter during a phone interview on 92.3 The Fan. “I come from a mixed political family, which is always fun around this time of the world. I’ve been fortunate -- or unfortunate -- enough to meet him through the years. I’m not gonna lie, he just creeps me out a little bit,” he laughed again.

Symon was then asked if he’s fearful his anti-Trump commentary could turn off some potential customers in the future.
“Anybody that knows me knows I’m not afraid to speak my mind, so there’s that. This isn’t a Democratic / Republican thing, trust me. It’s just that he creeps me out,” Symon laughed.
Trump will be in town for the upcoming RNC, which takes place July 18-21.
Symon recently opened Mabel’s, a new barbecue restaurant on E. 4th Street.
Symon responded to comments on Twitter regarding his opinion on Trump:
