CLEVELAND -- The birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll has lost a downtown landmark.
The Hard Rock Café has closed its doors for good.
Owners say they shut down the restaurant to focus on their efforts on the Hard Rock Rocksino in Northfield Park.
The restaurant opened in 1998 in Tower City.
Crews began dismantling the restaurant's iconic neon rotating guitar sign Monday morning.
