Shots fired at Cleveland police during traffic stop before foot chase

Two males were taken into custody, one of which was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

CLEVELAND — Gunshots rang out overnight as authorities attempted a traffic stop early Thursday morning.

Police say several rounds were fired at officers on E. 87th Street and Quincy before the suspects drove off.

The situation eventually became a foot chase, but officers caught up to the suspects at E. 93rd and Harvard.

Two males were taken into custody, one of which was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

None of the officers were hurt.
