CLEVELAND — One person has been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred on the city’s west side Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened as the 30-year-old victim was standing outside First Class Barber Shop, where he was approached by two males wearing hooded sweatshirts. Police say the males shot the victim several times before fleeing in a blue vehicle.

Bystanders flagged down officers near W. 51st Street and Clark Avenue. One of the male suspects was identified and taken into custody. Police also towed one vehicle from the scene.

Police say they later learned that the owner of the suspect vehicle had arrived at an E. 38th Street home without the car. Police took the juvenile into custody for questioning and later released him to a parent. One vehicle was also towed from E. 38th Street.
