Curfew ordered for city of East Cleveland until 8 a.m. on Tuesday

A driving ban for Euclid Avenue from Knowles Street to Doan Avenue is in place until 9:30 p.m.

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — The city of East Cleveland has issued both a curfew and a driving ban effective on Monday evening.  

The driving ban is for Euclid Avenue from Knowles St. to Doan Ave. until 9:30 p.m. on Monday evening. The curfew is in effect from 8:00 p.m. on Monday until 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2. 

The driving ban and curfew comes amid news of a purported peaceful demonstration that was scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
