The friends of a Fairview Park driver who was found dead inside of a van in a Lakewood driveway have rallied around his family -- setting up a Go Fund Me account.

So far, the group has surpassed its goal of $5,000 -- raising $6,900 as of Tuesday night.

Charles "Tuna" Junke, 49, was discovered over the weekend with two gunshot wounds to the head.

Family says a former business partner set Junke up by having him come to the Lakewood location. Once there, friends say the man killed Junke and then later killed himself. The man reportedly bragged about the killing to Junke's wife, Megan, over text.

Heather Supinski, a friend of Megan and Charlie, was read one of the texts the killer reportedly sent.

"I hope you suffer as much as he did... You and your family suffer as much as he did," Supinski told WKYC Channel 3's Hilary Golston. "He got what he deserved. I told him not to mess with me, my family and my earnings."

Police tracked the prime suspect in Junke's death to a Red Roof Inn in Westlake, reportedly using the text messages the killer had sent.

"We had people calling us. We got information from people who called our detective bureau," Capt. Ed Hassing of the Lakewood Police Department said.

Authorities surrounded the hotel around 9 Sunday morning and asked the suspect to come out. When he wouldn't, they broke down the door with a ram. Inside, they found the suspect dead with what looked like bullets to the head.

"Now I think ... 'Oh my God, I drove in a vehicle a few times with that guy,' " Supinski said. "It's not real. ... this stuff doesn't happen in real life."

"He never let anyone down," Sheila Prososki said of Junke. That's part of why Prososki set up the fund.

"He was always there. He was the guy you called at 2 o'clock in the morning," she said.

She doesn't want Charlie's three children and his wife to be left without support.
