Garfield Heights Police searching for missing juvenile

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Garfield Heights Police Department is asking for the public's assistance to help locate a missing 13-year-old girl who hasn't been seen by her family since early December.

According to officials, Asia Henderson was last seen in Garfield Heights on December 3, 2021, and has not been since. 

Asia is an eighth-grader at Miles Park Elementary School and was reportedly on her way to a sleepover earlier this month when she disappeared. Police tell 3News that her family has received multiple text messages from Asia stating that she is okay, but they are still concerned about her whereabouts, health and safety.

Asia is described as a young Black female, approximately 5’4 inches tall, 160 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes, and a birth mark on the right side of her face. Police have no description for her clothing but do believe she may be on her way to Akron.
