Male found shot to death in Cleveland Heights neighborhood; police searching for suspects

Authorities say the incident occurred within the 3300 block of East Overlook Road.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police confirm one person is dead following a shooting in Cleveland Heights Thursday night.

Officers were called to the 3300 block of East Overlook Road around 8:23 p.m. and found a male whom they say had been shot multiple times. 

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Alexander Gurley of Bedford, according to an update from Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office early Friday morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

As the investigation continues, detectives are working to find possible suspects. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to immediately call the Cleveland Heights Police Department at 216-291-3883 or Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County at 216-252-7463.
