46-year-old Warrensville Heights woman killed; police ask for public's help

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — An investigation is underway after the death of a Warrensville Heights woman.

Police tell 3News that on Monday, Oct. 9, at 11:41 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 19700 block of Sunset Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a woman with several gunshot wounds. 

The victim was taken from her home to South Pointe Hospital where she later died. Her death is being reported as suspected homicide. 

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 46-year-old Amanda Williams. 

According to the Warrensville Heights Police Department, a person of interest was detained at the time of the shooting, but later released.

Warrensville Heights police officials are asking for the public’s help in identifying any additional information pertaining to this case.
