Westlake police have confirmed one of their officers was involved in a car crash Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Detroit and Crocker Roads. Photos sent to WKYC by a viewer show the Chevrolet SUV police cruiser and multiple other vehicles were involved. The cruiser sustained heavy damage on the right side.
Authorities say it does not appear anyone was seriously injured in the collision. The intersection is partially closed, but is expected to reopen shortly.
