During a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday, Meyers changed his not-guilty plea to guilty. According to records from Willoughby Municipal Court, Meyers will not serve time in jail, as the 60-day sentence was suspended.
The 57-year-old Eastlake resident was fined $500 and ordered to stay out of all hotels and motels within the Willoughby Municipal Court's jurisdiction.
In February, Meyers was charged with solicitation following a human trafficking sting in Lake County that arrested six men.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost noted in February that his Northeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force worked with both the Wickliffe Police Department and Lake County Sheriff's Office in this operation. In addition to the six suspects, authorities also identified four potential victims of human trafficking, who were offered social services.
Meyers has represented Eastlake's Ward 2 since 2016.
