GEAUGA COUNTY, Ohio — Summer is sneaking up on us, and if you're looking for local adventure, the Geauga County Park District may be a good place for you.

There's more than 10,000 acres to explore in 25 parks and preserves. If you like to hike or bike, hit the more than 70 miles of trails. You can also rent canoes or kayaks.

There's fun for the while family, too, like "Nights out in Parks" featuring movies, senior programs, and outdoor adventure camps for kids.

If you're more of a thrill seeker, check out the high-ropes course in Claridon Woodlands. Those who take part climb 30 feet for the course, then zip line their way down!
