Little Caesars Pizza in Eastlake apologizes for 'stupid' receipt

A local man wasn't happy about having to wait 30 minutes for his pizzas. He was about to get even angrier once he looked at his receipt.

A local pizza shop is apologizing to a customer, who says someone wrote the word 'stupid' next to his name on his receipt.

Phillip Slate says he waited a half hour for three pizzas and had poor customer service from the Little Caesars on Vine Street in Eastlake. He says he decided to leave with just two of his pies, but then noticed his receipt read 'PhilVStupid.'

"I was literally walking right out the door and looked at the receipt to see if the cashier's name was on it, so I could report it to corporate and let them know what was happening in their store," Slate explained to WKYC. "And when I saw what it said, that's what set me off. It's completely unacceptable."

WKYC reached out to Little Caesars and spoke with the shift manager regarding this incident. We were told that the restaurant “contacted Phil, investigated the incident, and took appropriate action."

The manager says Little Caesars apologized to Slate and offered a next free order and/or a refund from his previous order.
