Elyria Police: 2 teenagers shot, 'isolated' incident

ELYRIA, Ohio — An investigation is underway after two teenagers were found lying on the road in Elyria with gunshot wounds.

The incident happened on Wednesday at around 4:10 p.m. at Infirmary Road and 16th Street intersection. 

Upon arriving at the scene, Elyria Police officers found two victims lying on the road with gunshot wounds. 

The victims, who have been identified as 18-year-old Marius Aiden Harrell and 19-year-old Exodus Christopher Payne, were taken by EMS to University Hospital in Elyria. 

Both victims are currently receiving medical treatment, but their exact condition remains unknown.  

"The incident appears to be isolated to parties involved and there is no threat to the community," said Elyria Police officials in a media release. 

At this time, the Elyria Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation.
