Elyria police searching for suspect accused of robbing KeyBank

He was wearing a blue jacket, a black stocking cap, and glasses over a face mask at the time of the robbery.

ELYRIA, Ohio — Police are asking for help locating a man who allegedly robbed the KeyBank in Elyria Monday afternoon.

Witnesses say the suspect enter the building on West River Road just after 2 p.m. and handed a note to clerks demanding money. While he did not show a gun at any point, employees complied and handed him an unknown amount of cash before he fled via vehicle. No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as having a "heavy set" build with gray and white curly hair. He was wearing a blue jacket, a black stocking cap, and glasses over a face mask at the time of the robbery. It is not known what kind of car he may have been driving.
