LORAIN, Ohio -- Republic Steel in Lorain now has a reopening date.
The company says it plans to restart its mill in September -- bringing about 80 jobs back in the first phase.
The plant was idled in January 2016.
Republic Steel is North America’s leading supplier of special bar quality steel. Their products include hot rolled steel bars, cold finished steel bars, cold heading quality rod and wire and leaded steel bars.
