Suspect still at large for hitman murder of Lakewood handyman; 2 in custody

Patrick Gall is considered armed and dangerous.

ELYRIA, Ohio -- Two of the three suspects wanted in the murder of a Lakewood handyman are in custody, but one remains at large.

Officials responded to 1401 East Avenue in Elyria on Friday for a man who was shot dead behind a convenience store.

The victim, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was identified as 47-year-old Willie Fisher, of Lakewood.

Fisher worked as a handyman and was recently hired to do work around the store.

Investigators identified three suspects for the shooting:

-Bruce Arnoff, 56, of Solon

-John Sullivan, 29, of East Cleveland

-Patrick Gall, 18, of East Cleveland

Police investigations revealed that Arnoff had hired Fisher as a handyman and was upset with him. As a result, he hired Sullivan and Gall to cause Fisher physical harm, which led to his death.

On Friday, Sullivan and Gall were traveling eastbound on Interstate 480 in a 2003 BMW and were stopped by Brooklyn police for a speeding violation around 8 p.m.

Inside the vehicle, police located a loaded hand gun with additional ammunition found in the glovebox.

Sullivan, a felon, was operating the vehicle under a suspended license and had an active warrant for his arrest through Maple Heights police. He was arrested at the scene on aggravated murder charges and was transported to the Elyria Police Department upon his release from Brooklyn.

Arnoff was arrested on East Avenue and charged with Fisher's murder Friday. He is being held without bond at the Lorain County Jail.

Gall, 18, remains at-large. Police did not say why he was not taken into custody when Sullivan was pulled over and arrested.

Gallt is considered armed and dangerous. His last known address is in the 14100 block of Northfield Avenue in East Cleveland.

Anyone with information on Gall should contact the Elyria Police Department at 440-323-3302.
