Officials investing cause of fire at Mayfield Village car dealership

The fire left at least a dozen cars damaged.

MAYFIELD, Ohio — Officials are investigating after a car dealership caught fire, causing damage to several vehicles overnight. 

Dispatch received several calls just before 3 a.m. reporting multiple cars on fire at Deacon's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram located at 835 Som Center Road in Mayfield Village. 

Officers with the Mayfield Village Police Department arrived and found three cars fully engulfed in flames and spreading to other on the lot. The Mayfield Village Fire Department arrived shortly after and extinguished all of the flames in approximately 30 minutes. 

The fire left at least a dozen cars damaged and no injuries were reported. A cause of the fire has not yet been determined. 

Due to the high dollar amount associated with the damages, the Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office and the  Hillcrest Fire Investigation Unit are assisting with the investigation of the fire.
