MEDINA, Ohio — The Medina Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for a Cleveland resident after he allegedly stabbed a man.
Medina police say the incident happened on Saturday, Oct. 19, in the 200 block of Abbeyville Road at around 5:30 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 32-year-old man who had been allegedly stabbed twice by an unknown suspect, later identified as Darius Miller of Cleveland.
"Officers administered immediate first aid to the victim until the Medina Life Support Team arrived. He was then transported to Medina Hospital and later transferred by medical hospital to a trauma center for advanced care," said Medina police in a press release.
According to Medina police, the victim is in stable condition.
Witnesses told police they saw a suspect flee the scene in a dark-colored SUV. Following a preliminary investigation, Medina police identified Miller as the suspect.
An arrest warrant for Miller has been issued on the charge of felonious assault.
Investigators say that additional charges may be filed pending further review by a Medina County grand jury.
