Pizza delivery guy receives life-changing tip

MENTOR, Ohio -- A pizza delivery guy's powerful reaction to a $700 tip continues to take the Internet by storm.

Now, Jeff Louis is getting life-changing help from complete strangers at a rehab facility in Malibu, Calif.

It all started with a YouTube video that 22-year-old Jeff posted on Nov. 22, when his real-life struggle with addiction to prescription drugs met overwhelming gratitude for the people of LifePoint Church.

Pastor Ken Wright gave him $100 for delivering pizza's early one Sunday morning. Then, the congregation spontaneously followed suit by kicking in $600 more.

Little did they know how much that random act of kindness would mean.

In his video that's gone viral, Jeff's real tears of gratitude have resonated exponentially.

That video now has more than a million views. Social media is saturated with his story as well.

Jeff's father, Jim Louis, told WKYC Channel 3 News, "Everywhere he goes, people recognize him and somebody comes up and tries to give him money."

That includes Cliffside Malibu, dubbed the #1 rehab treatment facility in the world.

The facility emailed WKYC after Jeff's story aired last week.

Cliffside Malibu offered to pay 100 percent of Jeff's therapy to help him stay clean.

He accepted and flew to Malibu on Thursday.

"I just hope that he doesn't have to struggle with it anymore," said Jim Louis.

The people at LifePoint Church believe God was weaving lives together the day Jeff's good-stuff snowball started rolling.

"It's just getting bigger and bigger. I love my son and this whole experience has restored my faith in humanity," said Jim Louis.
