Xenia man dies after bicycle hit by car in Tuscarawas County

Xenia resident Bartholomew James Kosins Snow, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene.

CLEVELAND — A Xenia man is dead after his bicycle was struck by a car on Interstate 77 in Tuscarawas County on Friday night, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened near milepost 93 in Lawrence Township at approximately 10:05 p.m.

Troopers say Bartholomew James Kosins Snow, 44, was traveling southbound in the left lane on a bicycle, while a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling in the same direction in the left lane. 

The Malibu hit the bicycle, forcing Snow off the left side of the roadway and into a median. 

Snow was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tuscarawas County Coroner's Office. 

The driver of the Malibu, 24-year-old Kyle M. Sisson of Powhatan Point, was not injured.

Troopers are investigating the crash.
