15 pickleball courts in Northeast Ohio

As pickleball’s popularity continues to rise, 3News has compiled a list of 15 places you can play across Northeast Ohio.

CLEVELAND — Pickleball seems to be the fastest-growing sport not only here in Northeast Ohio, but across the U.S. 

The sport, which combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong, can be played indoors or outdoors in pairs or as singles. 

As pickleball’s popularity continues to rise, 3News has compiled a list of 15 places you can play across Northeast Ohio. 

Akron 

Towpath Tennis Center

  • 2108 Akron Peninsula Road, Akron

Towpath Tennis Center allows players to compete outside with six outdoor courts as well as four indoor courts for year-round play. Paddles and balls are available. Towpath offers memberships, open play, beginner clinics, private lessons and special pickleball events. 

Avon Lake

Bleser Park 

  • 32800 Electric Boulevard, Avon Lake 

Bleser Park offers four lighted pickleball courts and plays home to the Cleveland Pickleball Classic, which takes place on Saturday, July 22. 

Beachwood

City of Beachwood Pickleball Courts

The City of Beachwood Community Services Department has two pickleball courts. Summer pick-up play is offered June through August on Wednesdays and Sundays from 6-8 p.m. 

Canton 

Stadium Park

Stadium Park, which is located near the Pro Football Hall of Fame, offers 10 outdoor pickleball courts. 

Chagrin Falls 

Chagrin Valley Athletic Club

The Chagrin Valley Athletic Club offers four outdoor courts and six indoor courts. Individuals are allowed to play there six times as a nonmember before they have to join to play. 

The Wembley Club

The Wembley Club offers eight pickleball courts for year-round play, as well as lessons and clinics from pickleball pros. 

Cleveland Heights

Denison Park

Denison Park offers outdoor pickleball play with six lined courts. 

Highland Heights 

Highland Heights Community Park

Between now and Sept. 21, Highland Heights offers an Adult Pickleball Club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 6-9 p.m. Registration is required. 

Independence 

Elmwood Park

The 46-acre park includes six outdoor pickleball courts with permanent lines and nets. 

Lyndhurst 

Brainard Park

Brainard Park offers two outdoor pickleball courts in Lyndhurst.

Lakewood

Studio West 117

Studio West 117th has options for individuals to compete in social leagues and competitive leagues. The Fieldhouse also offers a four-week instruction session for adults as well as open pickleball sessions.

Mentor

Civic Center Park

Civic Center Park features 15 pickleball courts, which are open to residents and non-residents at no cost to play. 

Orange Village

Orange Village offers a pickleball court for residents only. Residents can reserve the court on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Rocky River

Tri-City Park

Tri-City Park, which borders Westlake, Fairview Park and Rocky River, offers six pickleball courts. 

Westlake 

Clague Park
