And as one might expect, Athens, Ohio, is celebrating.

Shortly after the No. 13 seeded Ohio Bobcats' 62-58 upset victory over the No. 4 seeded Virginia Cavaliers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday night, footage from Athens' Court Street began to make the rounds on social media. In the video captured by Cole Behrens of The Athens Messenger, several students, most of whom aren't wearing masks, can be seen gathering and celebrating on Court Street before the crowd was ultimately broken up by police.

The Bobcats' victory on Saturday marked their first in the NCAA Tournament since 2012, when Ohio Unversity advanced to the Regional Semifinal. Virginia had entered the 2021 NCAA Tournament as the defending national champion after winning the "Big Dance" in 2019 before the 2020 NCAA Tournament was cancelled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, the entirety of this year's tournament will be played in Indiana. Saturday's game between Ohio and Virginia was played at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana.

In advancing to the Round of 32, the Bobcats outlasted fellow Ohio schools Ohio State and Cleveland State. A No. 2 seed, Ohio State was upset by Oral Roberts on Friday, while fifteenth-seeded Cleveland State lost to No. 2 seeded Houston on Saturday.

Ohio will return to action on Monday when it faces No. 5 seed Creighton.
