So when Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy announced the Barstool Fund, which has raised more than $34 million to help struggling small businesses amid the pandemic, the bar's owner, Pam Vargo, was ready to reach out.

"This is what we love to do," Vargo, who owns the bar just outside the University of Mount Union campus with her sister, Tammie Sobotka, told 3News.

Earlier this week, Vargo and Sobotka submitted their video to the Barstool Fund seeking assistance. Established in December in response to the lack of relief legislation from the government, Portnoy's requires that any business that receives money from the fund continue paying its employees.

"We have been majorly impacted. We are a family here," Vargo says in the video. "We have been here 13 years. We still have some of the same employees that we started with. Most people have been here 8-10 years at least. Our bartenders have been here since we opened the doors. So we don't really change help that often and we'd like to stay in business. So that's why we're reaching out to you for a little help.

"The pandemic has taken away over half of our business and since we are family-owned, we try to stick together and keep the place going."
