MASSILLON, Ohio — Police in Massillon have captured the suspect accused of attempting to kidnap a 16-year-old girl at a McDonald's restaurant.
The attempted kidnapping happened just after 3:30 on Friday afternoon at the downtown Massillon McDonald's. Officers say Tyrone Davis tried to grab the teen and leave with her, but she was able to break away and flee from the scene.
By the time police arrived, Davis was gone. Police caught up with him later in the day at the SARTA bus station in downtown Massillon. He has been charged with abduction, attempted kidnapping, unlawful restraint, and sexual imposition. Davis has been booked into the Stark County Jail.
