After making a triumphant return to NBC's hit singing competition "The Voice," Uniontown native Natalie Yacovazzi saw her journey on the show come to an end during the battle rounds.

Yacovazzi, who made Team Adam this year after unsuccessfully trying out in season 9, was paired up against New Jersey native Nate Butler. Coach Adam Levine chose "Hollow" by Grammy winner Tori Kelly as their battle song. and his special adviser for their battle? None other than Tori herself. During their initial training session Coach Adam felt both singers could master the song but expressed some reservation about Natalie's effort saying she "has power" but wasn't sure she was putting it forth. When they came back for their second rehearsal he noted Natalie's improvement from the previous session.

Then came Natalie and Nate's battle. Both delivered strong performances, ones that left the judges struggling to pick a winner.

Coach Blake Shelton said Yacovazzi had "originality" and was "unlike anyone else." He called Nate "pitch perfect" and like a clone of coach Adam Levine.

Coach Christina Aguillera called the battle "neck and neck" with both performances being "really strong." She called Natalie a "super star" and said her voice had "great range."

Pharrell Williams remarked on Natalie's energy and said he could see "how bad she wanted it."

It was all left up to Adam Levine to chose who would stay on his team. Citing the "difficult challenges" both artists face, he said he was proud of both of them but felt he had to chose the person he felt he could "move forward with comfortably." After a few moments of silence, he ended up choosing Nate.

Unfortunately no other coach exercised their steal to keep Natlie on the show, thus ending her journey on The Voice.

When Natalie got backstage, she was greeted by her daughter who asked, "What happened?" to which the singer replied, "We get to go home and sing."
