$3 million winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Cleveland: See where the ticket was purchased

The lucky numbers were 3, 16, 25, 44, 55 with Mega Ball 13.

CLEVELAND — There’s a new multimillionaire after a big winning ticket was sold in Cleveland for Friday night’s Mega Millions lottery drawing.

That ticket, which is worth $3 million, was sold at C’s Beverage & Deli on Broadview Road in Cleveland. It matched five of the winning numbers, which awards $1 million – but the prize was tripled to $3 million due to the Megaplier.

The Cleveland winner was just shy of claiming the $426 million jackpot by failing to match the Mega Ball.

In case you were curious, the lucky numbers were 3, 16, 25, 44, 55 and the Mega Ball 13.

One lucky ticket sold in Southern California, however, matched all six numbers for the $426 million jackpot. It was sold in the Woodland Hills section of Los Angeles at a Chevron gas station.

Additionally, lottery officials said there were three other winners who matched five numbers – only missing the Mega Ball – also sold in Mississippi, New York and Texas.

So what are the odds of winning these top prizes? Mega Millions breaks it down as follows:

  • Jackpot (matching all six numbers): 1 in 302,575,350
  • $1 million (matching five numbers): 1 in 12,607,306

The next Mega Millions drawing with a jackpot of $20 million will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
