Former Cleveland council member and state senator Nina Turner is considering a run for vice president on the Green Party ticket, The Washington Post reports.
Turner has been an avid Bernie Sanders supporter throughout the primary, a shift from her previous heavy support of Hillary Clinton. She once raised money for Clinton's campaign and served as a point person for "Ready for Hillary."
According to the Washington Post, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein asked Turner to be her running mate. Their convention begins Thursday in Houston.
Turner will make a decision this week.
