Donald Trump: It's fine to describe ex-Miss Universe as 'Miss Piggy'

Donald Trump defended previously calling a former Miss Universe pageant winner “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping.”

One day after the first presidential debate, Donald Trump defended previously calling a former Miss Universe pageant winner “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping.”

"She was impossible ... She was the winner and you know she gained a massive amount of weight and it was a real problem,” Trump said on Fox & Friends Tuesday. “And (Clinton) found the girl and talked about her like she was Mother Teresa and it wasn't quite that way, but that's OK. Hillary has to do what she has to do."

Alicia Machado won Miss Universe in 1996. Machado has said that Trump called her “Miss Piggy” after she gained some weight following the victory and “Miss Housekeeping” because she is from Venezuela.

During the first presidential debate Monday night, Hillary Clinton brought up Machado — who has since become an American citizen and endorsed the Democratic nominee.

“One of the worst things he said was about a woman in a beauty contest. He loves beauty contests, supporting them and hanging around them,” Clinton said. “And he called this woman ‘Miss Piggy.’ Then he called her ‘Miss Housekeeping,’ because she was Latina. Donald, she has a name.”

“Where did you find this? Where did you find this?” Trump asked repeatedly, but he never defended the comments.
