CLEVELAND — On Cedar Point’s website and app Monday, eagle-eyed 3News viewers noticed a difference in what was originally posted about the skip-the-line option for season pass holders, and the re-imagined Top Thrill 2 roller coaster which is opening this season.
Viewer Susan Hall immediately reached out to us to VERIFY this claim.
THE CLAIM
Cedar Point has limited season pass Fast Lane Plus access to the Top Thrill 2 roller coaster.

To verify what’s going on here, we went straight to the source. We checked:
- both the Cedar Point website and app,
- a public post by Cedar Point spokesperson Tony Clark,
- and an email from Cedar Point's Guest Experience team that was shared with us by 3News viewer Susan Hall.
Here’s where the confusion started: Susan and other Cedar Point fans noticed over the last two days that the Cedar Point app had updated its description of its season pass skip-the-line option to say this “includes one-time access to Top Thrill 2 per visit.”
Susan told us that was different than what the app said when she bought her Fast Lane Plus season pass in August, and shared an email that she had sent to Cedar Point's guest experience team, which read:
"I purchased season long fast lane plus back in August 2023 for the 2024 season. At that time, TTD2 was listed as included. On your website as of right now, TTD2 is listed as included with UNLIMITED rides per day. I purchased and you sold me a fast pass which includes unlimited rides on TTD2 everyday. Why does the app suddenly say limited to 1 ride per day? That is a violation of our purchase agreement. I expect it to be honored. I have dated and picture proof of your advertisement of what was sold to me."
What Susan was seeing on the Cedar Point app was also different than what the Cedar Point website said Monday, which was that the Fast Lane Plus season pass, “includes unlimited access to Top Thrill 2.”
When Susan and other viewers started reaching out to us with this discrepancy, we checked the Cedar Point app, and saw that as of late Tuesday morning, it had been updated to say the Fast Lane Plus season pass “includes unlimited rides on Top Thrill 2” among other popular coasters.
We confirmed this with an email from the Cedar Point Guest Experience team that Susan shared with us, where representative Ethan T. told her the app update was a mistake.
We also checked the replies on X from Cedar Point spokesperson Tony Clark, who said the same thing.
THE ANSWER
So we can verify that the claim that Cedar Point has limited season pass Fast Lane Plus access to the Top Thrill 2 roller coaster is false.
The park is officially saying the app update was a mistake, and Cedar Point visitors who buy the $950 Fast Lane Plus add-on for their season passes will have unlimited access to skip the line to ride Top Thrill 2.
