Four children were arrested for the armed robbery of a Verizon Store in Streetsboro Wednesday morning.
Police received a 911 call from a witness claiming to see four suspicious males with their faces covered enter the Verizon store located at 9760 State Route 14 with a possible weapon.
At the scene, officials saw a clerk exiting the building with his hands bound behind his back. The clerk inside told police that the kids assaulted, threatened to kill him if he didn’t open the safe. He says that when police arrived, the suspects hid and he took the opportunity to run from the store.
Once the clerk was safe, officers began ordering the suspects to exit the store. Two of them surrendered and were taken into custody. While searching the store,police found two additional suspects and took them into custody without incident. A loaded hand gun was recovered from the scene.
All four individuals are juveniles and face charges of aggravated robbery with a gun and kidnapping.
No injuries were reported.
