Former Baldwin Wallace football player Anthony Kendall headed to the NFL

Prior to being signed with the Titans, Kendall had been invited by the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets to rookie minicamp.

BEREA, Ohio — A former defensive back at a local college has found his way to the NFL. 

Anthony Kendall, the All-American speedy football standout at Baldwin Wallace University, has agreed to terms to sign as an undrafted free agent with the Tennessee Titans.

Following the announcement, Kendall became just the second Baldwin Wallace football player in the last 12 years to sign with an NFL team. 

While playing for the Yellow Jackets, Kendall was honored with the Lee J. Tressel Award for Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Back of the Year in 2022. 

During his senior season for Baldwin Wallace, the Port Richey, Florida, native averaged 5.4 tackles per game, three interceptions, four tackles for loss and 12 pass breakups. 

For his remarkable efforts, he landed a spot on the Associate Press All-American second-team, D3football.com All-American second team and the American Football Coaches Association All-American second-team.

Throughout his college career, Kendall recorded 127 tackles, 20 pass breakups and six interceptions in 31 games. 

Prior to being signed with the Titans, Kendall had been invited by the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets to rookie minicamp.

At the Combine, the 5-foot-10 Kendall recorded a 4.44 40-yard dash and a 39.5-inch vertical.
