Cleveland Guardians announce 2024 regular season schedule; open March 28 at Oakland

The Cleveland Guardians have announced their 2024 regular-season schedule, which will kickoff of on March 28 against the Oakland Athletics.

CLEVELAND — The current MLB season is currently in the middle of its All-Star break, but fans already know when they'll be able to look forward to baseball in 2024.

On Thursday, MLB announced the entirety of its 2024 regular-season schedule, including the Cleveland Guardians' full 162-game slate. The Guardians will kickoff their 2024 campaign on the road on March 28 when they play the first of four-game series against the Oakland Athletics, before heading up the coast for a three-game slate against the Seattle Mariners (April 1-3) and returning to the Midwest for three games against the Minnesota Twins (April 4-7).

On April 8, Cleveland will host the Chicago White Sox, in what will mark the team's 2024 home opener at Progressive Field. Coincidentally, this will also be the day a total solar eclipse will be visible throughout much of Northeast Ohio during the afternoon. First pitch for the game has not yet been announced, but the festivities could potentially line up with the path of totality from roughly 3:13-3:17 p.m.
