CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians have announced their 2019 regular-season schedule and will host the home opener for their 119th year as a charter member of the America League and 25th at Progressive Field against the Chicago White Sox on Monday, April 1.
The Indians open the regular season on March 28 against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis, and after wrapping up the three-game set against their American League Central Division foes, they will return to Cleveland for a six-game homestand with two outings against the White Sox and a four-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Indians will have six summer weekend series at Progressive Field between June and August, as they will host the New York Yankees (June 7-9), Detroit Tigers (June 21-23), Minnesota Twins (July 12-14), Kansas City Royals (July 19-21, August 23-25), and Los Angeles Angels (August 2-4).
Additionally, the Indians will host teams from the National League East Division in interleague play, including the Atlanta Braves (April 19-21), Miami Marlins (April 23-24) and Philadelphia Phillies (September 20-22). Along with the NL East opponents, the Indians will have a two-game set against the Cincinnati Reds (June 11-12).
The Indians have an eight-game road trip ahead of the 2019 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which will be played at Progressive Field on Tuesday, July 9. The Home Run Derby will highlight the pre-All-Star Game festivities on Monday, July 8.
Festivities for the 2019 MLB All-Star Game will be hosted throughout the city from July 5-9.
In May and June, the Indians will play more home games than road contests, but will be away from Progressive Field more in March, April and August. In July and September/October, the Indians will play an even number of games both home and away.
The Indians have an 11-game homestand from May 16-26, where they will host the Baltimore Orioles, Oakland Athletics and Tampa Bay Rays, as well as a 10-game stay at Progressive Field against the Twins, Tigers and Royals from July 12-21.
The longest road trip of the year is an early one, as they play nine games at Detroit, Kansas City and Seattle from April 9-17.
Sixteen of the Indians’ final 25 games of the season will come against AL Central Division foes, including a three-game series against the White Sox in Chicago as part of a six-game road trip to end the year.
The Indians close the 2019 regular season at the Washington Nationals.
