CLEVELAND -- LeBron James' departure has left a wound in the hearts of Cleveland fans.

But many fans are turning to the Cleveland Indians for the future of sports fandom in the 216. After all, Corey Kluber just earned his 12th win of the season and Francisco Lindor mashed two home runs last night.

ESPN NFL beat reporter Adam Schefter seems to have forgotten about the first-place Tribe, but fans aren't letting him off the hook.

Schefter was seemingly joking when he tweeted this Monday afternoon:

Since Schefter covers the NFL for ESPN, it makes sense that his mind was on Baker Mayfield and the Browns. But as soon as he hit send, Indians fans flocked to his Twitter mentions.

The Indians account was also quick to put itself on Schefter's radar.

And Jose Ramirez (who leads all third basemen in American League All-Star votes, by the way) also chimed in:

Schefter may earn a paycheck by following the NFL, but thanks to Cleveland Twitter, he won't soon forget about our baseball team.
